Science Month Celebration.

We are now in the month of September. September is the Science month in our school Ilocos Sur National High School. Science plays an important role in our community and in our everyday living. It makes life easier and faster. We can always apply science in everything that we see and in everything that we do. There are activities of the Science Club Officers like, poster making contest, slogan, quiz bee, Mr. and Ms. Kalikasan and the winner on the said contest will be competing in the Regional Science Congress, there is also a noise barrage which we participated and luckily we won. The noise barrage is about the beautification and conservation of our school and community. We should start to make a change now! For better future. Lets help promote the cleanliness and orderliness not only in our school but also in our community. There is also a Regional Science Congress and I joined this activity. It’s about leadership and we had a seminar in Rosales Pangasinan.

BUWAN NG WIKA

Yearly we are celebrating he “Buwan ng Wika” during the month of August. The theme is “Wikang Filipino mula Luzon hanggang Baler”. The Filipino Club is the one in charge for this and they are conducting some contests like balagasan, tagisan ng talino, poster slogan, essay writing, and sayawit. Many students has participated the said contest. The winners deserved to be awarded and recognized and by the end of August they announced the winners. About the theme, our language is really our mark. It shows that we are Filipinos through this. Like for example, saying manang, manong, pinakbet and etc. they can determine those words and they know that the one using it is a Filipino. English is our global language but Tagalog is our language here in the Philippines. We should be proud to be Filipinos. We should also understand that not all Filipinos are rich and can go to school to study. At least, they know how to speak in agalog instead of English because of our state. The only ones using English Language in the Philippines are those who have graduated in college, those who are rich and have good jobs but if we’ll see our economic status the Filipinos who cannot speak are 50% and its because half of the population in the Philippines is poor. Why don’t we try Tagalog as our language? I think it can be competitive. But even though Tagalog is not our Universal Language we the Filipinos should be proud using it. Let’s use this for better communication and let us love our language. This could also be a key for a better future and it can help our country be on top. Let us remember what our National Hero said in a lyrics of a sing “ang hindi marunong magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit pa ang amoy sa malansang isda”. Let us love our own language and be proud of it.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

“Education is the key to success” it is a beautiful saying. Students go to school to learn and study. Students also need HELP! We all know that books can help us to gain knowledge about everything that we want to know. But, it is not that effective for students to read their books. Yes, there are many ways for us to learn not only by reading books but by surfing the net and etc. But, even though there are books and internets still we cannot understand some topics. So we need a TEACHER in order for us to understand more about what is in the book. The solution to our problem is our DEAR TEACHERS. Students need help and teachers also need help. Students learn from their teachers and vice versa. A teacher is always there to help us, to teach us. They also share their knowledge about everything. In school, a teacher is our mother or father in school. They serve as our second parents because they are the one responsible for us if something bad will happen to us. Can you imagine our life without a teacher? Who will teach us? How can we understand a subject? If there are no teachers what will happen to us? Do you think we will understand a certain topic? Do you think you can graduate? There are many questions that will come out if there would be no teacher. I think being a teacher would be great because I would help them understand the topic, I will share to them my knowledge, I will be responsible for them in school, and I will touch their lives in some ways. I can also help them solve their problems and give them some advice. A teacher is my Hero because of many things. Like, a teacher has an important role in our community. They should be proud in their job. It is a difficult job but still they accepted their responsibilities and they are doing it even though their students are very “noisy”, “pasaway”, and etc. A teacher is really our Hero. They deserve to respected.

INSIGHTS!!!

We’re entering a new world again! Second Grading Period is over. It’s really fast right? It’s like it just happened yesterday. And it is the month of October that means that Intramurals is approaching.
What have I learned during the Second Grading Period? Of course I learned many things. I learned a lot and I think it will take me a year if I will enumerate it one by one.
Let’s say goodbye to the History of Internet. Now, there are new lessons to be taken. We are now entering the world of NOTEPAD! From the different tags and the html we are making codes and type it in the notepad. One thing that was nit changed during the First Grading Period was the making of our blogs and submitting drafts.
Learning’s should be treasured.
