Change: It Starts With Me!

Change is a six letter word but it means a lot. It can make a difference in the world. Yes it can!
We (the student leaders) had a youth rally with the theme: “ako ang magsisimula ng pagbabago” and as a supreme student government officer I also attended the Regional Leadership Training or RLT in Sta. Barbara Pangasinan. I learned many things there. Change should really start with ones self. Mrs. Vera Cruz asked us “What small deed can you do to help our country and make it a better nation?” I was shocked with that question so I have been into contemplation. Let me reminisce the small deeds that I have done. As a student I am doing my responsibility in the classroom and that is by maintaining its cleanliness and of course not only our classroom but our surroundings. I should be a disciplined lady and should respect my parents, teachers and others. If others will see what I’m doing for sure they will also do it. I would influence them to clean their surroundings, be a disciplined person and show some respect. As a good citizen I also take good care of the animals, plants and everything because God created us to take care of His creations. I am also planting a tree for the future because we all know that trees can help us for example if there may be floods or landslide. Let us also be a honest Filipino citizen so that our country will be a free crime community. It would be a peaceful community.
Nothing is permanent in this world. Everything changes. Yes it does whether we like it or not. Let us change for the better and not for the worst. Change starts with me. How about you? Will you also want a change in you for the better?

"NEW EXPERIENCES AND LEARNINGS"

Time passed by so quick…I didn’t notice that we are already in the month of January and were entering the year of 2010.
Reminiscing the past makes me feel sad. It’s like it had happened yesterday that we entered Ilocos Sur National High School as a fourth year student. Yes, we only have two months to spend here in ISNHS, and maybe tomorrow we will soon graduate. I feel sad about it.
Third Grading Period is already over. Did I study hard? Did I do my best? Will I get a high grade or it will get low? Those are just a few questions that are in my mind. I’m busy this January because I am a dancer and we are preparing for the Longganisa Street Dancing Competition which was held last January 22, 2010. Sad to say but we did not make it to he top three, we landed fourth. Even though we were busy for the competition I still learn many things.
In research I learn about the t-test foe dependent and independent samples, chi-square and we made our thesis proposal. In Math-we learn how to fins the average rate of change. In Physics-it’s all about momentum, fluids and electronic components. In Filipino-we learn pagsasaling wika, and some chapter in the El Filibusterismo, and some short stories. In TLE-IV we learn about the font attributes and we worked on the notepad. We had some activities. Thanks to Jhun and Gimcy my group mates in workstation 1 because they are helpful. We also finished our activity in TLE; we put a background picture, layout and everything. Working in the Notepad is unfamiliar to me because I am used to Microsoft word or Excel but it is also great. The new experience is great!
There are many things to learn. And thanks to our teachers who are always there to sacrifice and many more.
